Your Personal Guide to Bars, Clubs and Late-Night Fun at Nightlife Hua Hin

Welcome to Nightlife Hua Hin!

Hua Hin is a coastal town and popular beach resort, located about 200 km to the south of Bangkok on the western seaboard. Its relative proximity to Bangkok make it a convenient holiday destination for Thais and foreigners alike, whether that is for longer stays or weekend breakaways. Many foreigner retirees have also made Hua Hin their home due to the laid back life style and low cost of living, compared to other western countries where inflation has been rampant in recent years.

Hua Hin originally emerged as a tourist destination in 1920s as it became popular with the Thai Royal family, and the Klai Kangwon Palace was built there as residence for visiting Thai Royals.

In more recent times Hua Hin has developed quite rapidly, but it has still been able to maintain its relaxed ambience. The town has two large shopping malls, high end luxury resorts with direct beach access, spas with a range of treatments and world class private hospitals. But Hua Hin also has nice lower budget hotels and modern apartments that can be rented at a very reasonable rate compared to prices in the west.

Hua Hin’s beach is a very pleasant place to spend the day or go for a walk, and the breeze from the Gulf of Thailand helps to give the place a cooler feel. In fact, Hua Hin can boast the best weather in Thailand, with more pleasant temperatures and lower rainfall levels than any other areas of Thailand.

When it comes to nightlife, Hua Hin is often considered to have a relatively small scene, especially in comparison to tourist hotspots such Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket. But many people do not realise that Hua Hin has many lively nightlife areas featuring beer bars, western style pubs, live music venues and nightclubs.

At the very centre of the town is Soi Bintabaht, and it's interlinking sois comprising mainly bars but also clubs and restaurants. This is the main nightlife Hua Hin area for the central area which also leads directly to the beach.

As short 10 minute walk away from the centre brings you to Soi 80, which is about 500m long and is mainly made up of lively beer bars playing a wide variety of music, with ice cold drinks served by friendly hostesses.

Head southwards for about another km and you will reach Wonderland 1 and Wonderland 2/Rung Charoen Alley. These are beer bar complexes featuring dozens of bars under neon lights, playing music from across the decades.

The next area, very near by is Soi 94. This long Soi stretches from Hua Hin's main central road, Soi Phetkasem, and goes straight up for about 1km. This Soi features a mixture of restaurants, beer bars, more up market bars, cafes, hotels and apartments. Wonderland 1 is directly adjacent to this Soi, at the railway crossing.
